The GMC Canyon got a fairly recent makeover, having returned to the market two years ago after a three-year-long hiatus. However, the new model saw a huge overhaul in design, features, and technology, including an available diesel engine among its powertrain options.
Now, the Canyon is getting some upgrades for 2017. One of these includes a new GMC Canyon trim, but not just any kind of trim: a Denali model. Additionally, the Canyon is also getting a new off-road package.
The Denali trim level is typically the most luxurious, range-topping model in a vehicle lineup, with upscale features like a premium interior that’s been fully loaded with most available features and tech, plus cosmetic touches like chrome accents and a unique wheel design. The All Terrain X package will also be providing drivers with a variety of off-road-capable features, such as all-weather floor tiles and all-terrain tires.
The Canyon will also be introducing a brand-new engine option to its lineup: a 3.6-liter V6 that delivers 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque, and the addition of an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, the new GMC Canyon trim and package, along with new powertrain options, will give drivers plenty of customizable features for the 2017 model year.
