Last month, the new Buick Enspire all-electric concept SUV made its world debut at Auto China 2018, which ran from April 25 to May 4. According to Buick, this concept is both a preview of the brand’s design direction and an exploration of future technologies we may expect from Buick and other automakers.
Electric seems to be the inevitable future for automobiles, and this concept proves that Buick has a place in that future. The Enspire concept is powered by Buick’s eMotion electric propulsion technology, which can launch the Enspire from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds flat. This technology can create a max power output of 410 kW. Even more impressive? This thing’s got range — 370 all-electric miles, to be exact. And charging is as easy as ever, with wireless capabilities and fast charging to 80 percent in just 40 minutes.
On the outside, the Enspire concept features advanced aerodynamic lines; inside, the Enspire includes what Buick calls a “surround skyline” theme and theater-type seating. Key interior technologies include an intelligent augmented reality technology-based head-up display system and an OLED display screen. Natural wood grain and microfiber suede were used in the interior for the armrests and center console.
